It is situated in Mahalakshmi and the name of the place is also owing to the temple. In fact even the Mahalakshmi Race course got its name from this temple. This beautiful temple was built back in the 9th century in 1831 by Dhakji Dadaji who used to be a part of the Patharwe Prabhu community.
